David Newman Film Music

     "Who is David Newman?"

     You know, he's the guy who scored Anastasia.
No? He also scored Tommy Boy, a popular Chris Farley movie.
No? How about The Sandlot? You want smores?
No? You're killing me smalls.  What about The Nutty Professor movie franchise?
No? Not even ... no, not that either huh?

     Well, sadly, this appears to be his legacy, but do not be fooled. The man does some excellant work and has many underappreciated and unknown scores.

     Composing at least since 1984, he has scored nearly a hundred different films, shows and specials, and he has written in a number of styles for a number of types of movies. Multitalented and with a work load Horner could envy (until recent years), this composer goes unnoticed most times and his scores go unreleased most times.

    But this relative of the famous Newman Clan is here to stay and you'll all be hearing more from him in the future. Unless Thomas kills him. ;-)

Not to be confused with musician David "Fathead" Newman.
